More about Rebecca…

I have been writing poetry since I was a very small child, however for many years writing was a purely private pursuit.

Since Autumn 2025 I have been actively sharing my work and reading my poems at various events in Skåne, Sweden, and attempting to hone both my writing and performance skills. See my events page for upcoming readings.

I have just begun to submit my work to various magazines and journals for publication, and am really pleased to already be seeing a positive response. My poem ‘You don’t love me (and that’s okay)’ was recently shortlisted for the Stainsby National Poetry Prize, by Roger McGough, and I was privileged to read my work in his presence. Another poem of mine (untitled) has also just been selected as one of the winners of The Poetry Pharmacy’s ‘Glimmers’ competition, and will be available in their Glimmers bottle in their stores in York, Bishop’s Castle and London, soon. In my spare time you will find me simultaneously cooking and singing (yes, this is risky, yes, I sometimes burn the onions) or attempting to read a book instead of doom scrolling.

I have many future planned projects. Watch this space…
